Where do you start to enforce traffic safety issues? Right in your own community.
I am confident that you have heard the statistic that 95% of accidents involving you or your family will most likely happen within a ten mile radius of your home. I know that I’ve heard it a million times. Well it’s true. If you think about it; it makes sense. We may know the roads around our home like the back of our hand. However, since we frequent them on a consistant basis, we increase our odds for an accident in that area tenfold. We may even let down our guard, since we are comfortable with our surroundings. This is always a mistake. This is the most important area to make improvements in traffic safety. After all, isn’t it where your children play? Where you walk your dog? Where you and your spouse go jogging?
This section confronts issues dealing with traffic safety on a local level and explores solutions that may help avoid potential accidents. You should always be aware of your surroundings and any pending danger. When driving around town, riding your bike, or simply taking an evening stroll, take note of areas that may be improved to ensure you and your family’s safety.
